this video is from a cd-rom in the st. henri public library. it was made by the ville de montréal in 2001 to sell their redevelopment/gentrification to corporations. this is the introductory video. it’s amazing.

Since it’s soon to be transformed into customized workspace, we thought we’d give you an idea of the studio it as it stands…

a bit about the space: studio béluga is spacious (1,000 square feet) and clean with hardwood floors; well-lit with eight picture windows facing both west and north, it receives a steady supply of natural light throughout the day. for night-time activities, six flood-lamps light us up. resources include a variety of art tools and supplies, as well as wireless internet, microwave, slop-sinks, a blue velvet couch and a small but growing reference library.
